Harlan County Coroner
Introduction:
The Coroner is an elected position for each county in Kentucky. It is the duty of the coroner to inquire into certain deaths which occur in their county, as defined by KRS Chapter 72.
I was elected in 1993 by the people of Harlan County to serve as Coroner. Prior to that, I served as deputy coroner for eight years, under William "Red" Venable and Joe Mahan.
